Naseeruddin
Shah dubbed for his forthcoming Hollywood film “League
of Extraordinary Gentlemen” for an urgent dubbing session
at Bombay’s InSync Studios on 26th June 2003.
The session was conducted via telephone from Los Angeles and
the digital files were uploaded using the internet. The sound
recording was available within the hour for use for the mixing
of the film by the engineers in LA. This is a unique collaboration
between Hollywood and Bollywood and in their conversation
with Nandoo Bhende, director, InSync Studios, 20th Century
Fox’s John Larsen and Paul Apted were thankful for his
help in finishing their film on schedule. They were pleasantly
surprised with the expertise and quality of the Indian engineers
at InSync studios. The film will be released worldwide on
July 11th. |
Based
on the graphic comic book miniseries, the story is set in
England during Victorian times. The League is a group of superhero-like
characters — including Allan
Quatermain (Sean Connery), Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde (Jason Flemyng),
and Captain Nemo (Naseeruddin Shah) —
culled from famous works of literature, who join forces to
thwart an evildoer's plan for igniting wars between nations
and achieving world domination.
